Karin and Rafe’s house is beautifully refurbished with style and taste as were the pool and breakfast area. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks to Karin and Rafe who made our stay memorable.

Au Coeur de Beaufort is exactly as described and as per the photos. It’s located in a very peaceful and relaxing setting, and is a very comfortable B and B. Loads of extra small touches such as toiletries, beach/pool towels provided if needed. The pool was perfect to cool down in and the garden is very tranquil. Breakfast was delicious too! Karin and Rafe were charming hosts who were on hand to give us info on the the area and help with reservations but never intruding or in your face. Would definitely recommend!

Karin and Her husband are kind and cheerful if you were planning to visit the Minervois don’t hesitate to go to Karin’s cottage you will spend a nice stay in a beautiful place.

Karin and Rafe made my stay very comfortable relaxing and fun! Great hosts and very interesting people to hang with. The home is fantastic and I was presented with the most satisfying breakfast service by their pool. They go the extra bit to make your stay with them a fine experience.

C’est une maison cocooning, on y est chez soi. L’ambiance zen invite au repos, à une certaine plénitude, et ce du matin jusqu’en soirée. Au cœur d’une région à découvrir, mais chuuuut, il ne faut pas trop le dire…! Nos hôtes répondent à nos moindres besoins, ils donnent envie de plus les connaître. Un grand merci

Beaufort is old little village surrounded by vineyards. There is a church and local auberge with delicious local wine and great food. Karens’ house is beautiful and comfortable . There is a small garden with pool where you can eat breakfast. It is so much better place than crowdy and noisy seaside! I strongly recommend Au Coeur de Beaufort!

Sherri and I are from the United States and have not been to this part of France before. Karin and Rafe were very welcoming to us, and our accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We took day trips to many wonderful places and enjoyed driving through the beautiful area.

Each village was special and had its own attractions. Each night we could come home and relax, have a soak in the tub or a shower, and unwind. Breakfast each morning was excellent and got us off to a good start. Beaufort itself is charming and scenic and we had good walks around the village. The surrounding countryside is full of vineyards and quiet country roads.

The historic structure of the Chambres d’Hotes has been updated inside. Several suites, each with its own living area and bathroom, are connected to a central staircase giving each suite privacy.

There is a very nice garden and pool, excellent for cooling off in the warm weather typical for this region.

During the 6 days we were there we visited Carcassonne, Minerve, Lagrasse, Fontfroid Abbey, Narbonne, Beziers, Foy, the Pyrenees, a prehistoric dolmen (Domen des Fados), a cave with 14,000 year old paintings (Cave de Niaux), a museum with prehistoric artifacts going back 500,000 years (in Minerve), and a winery having a festival and wine tasting (Massamier La Mignarde).

All in all it was a wonderful vacation, which I would like to repeat, and can wholeheartedly recommend.
